ARTIST STATEMENT

Reap What You Sow is a series of conceptual photographs that highlight the themes of: tempestuous desires, Machiavellian indulgences, and sinful gratifications.

​

Hetty Diep, Fine Artist and Entrepreneur, seeks to bridge the gap between lifestyle and fitness, hedonism and discipline, as well as the underlying conditions of what makes extravagance so desirable, yet, feel so unattainable.

 

Diep creates her vision based on her inspiration from classic paintings, quintessential films and other archetypal references from various industries in order to recreate a juxtaposition between the "American Dream" and reality.
